Rapid Prototype - "Trapped"

These are a few concept images for a rapid prototyping project during my 3rd year at ECA. This design is for a stool which would be made from frosted semi-transparent plastic thus concealing the face and hand within. The trapped features would only be visible when the light in the stool was illuminated. The light inside the stool would cast a shadow of the face and hands onto the surrounding walls and ceiling. This was a very short project to introduce students to the RP process. These images were modelled using Rhinoceros and rendered using Flamingo. The photographs are of the final stool which was Rapid Prototyped.
